December

It's snow and ice

It's cold winter nights

Its when Christmas time is here.

It's trips to Bryce

It's Christmas lights

It's hot chocolate being drank like beer.

It's presents and trees

It's a big Christmas feast

It's a parade going on downtown.

It's an ice cold breeze

It's a snow covered beast

It's night making no sound.

It's December.

All put together as one.

October

Green grass fading
autum trees ablazing
it's cool crisp air, the feeling overtakes.
along enticing stare, as leaves blanket the lake

As day breaks and fades away
night creeps and stars weep
Streets fill with little monsters
collecting their due, expecting a full moon

Along the ridge the lonely wolf howls
at the cold lonely nights, its October now.

October

It's early October,
the leaves are changing to copper.
The air is cool and crisp.
You wake before dawn and head
for the mountains, bow in hand.
You reach the tree that securely
holds your stand, you climb.
As you reach the seat you sit just as
day begins to break in the horizon, and the
birds begin to chirp as they wake from a night of silence.
You watch the squirrels run and chase another
beneath you on the ground below.
Waiting patiently for that trophy buck
to walk your way, you can't help to think,
this must be Heaven on Earth.

It's early October, and
the leaves are changing to copper.

Thinking

were you thinking,
thinking about me?

Was i that thought,
The thought in the back of your mind?

How could you do this?
Hurt me like that?

Was she worth it,
was she worth all the pain,
the pain you caused me?

Your gonna miss me,
your gonna want me back.
But baby you can kiss this relationship
Good-bye

Creeping Frost

Here i lay

one last breath

staring upward,

with no sun left

I feel it now

the cold comes slow

as pain fades

my face fades pale as snow

The raw beauty

distracts my mind

all the memories

mask my demise

stuck in a dream

frozen in time

forever and ever

enclosed behind my eyes

The Slytherin Family

Some people swore that the house was haunted, but to us it was cursed. On the outskirts of this spooky one horse town known as Lynndendale, Wisconsin stood a rugged old farmhouse. Built in the early 1930's by a family with many, many dark secrets. All the town's people did not dare drive pass the old spooky house. Many, if not all the people would drive the two hours out of route just to bypass the old house. I guess your wondering what it was about the house that made it spooky, so let's take a stoll down memory lane.

In the early 1930's, a family of seven known as the Slytherin's came to town. They purchased a hundered acre lot, where they built their two story farmhouse. As the weeks and months passed things mysteriously started happening. One day a frightened and panicked town's man named Joseph came peddling into town. As he stopped in front of the general country store where all the town's people hung around in the evenings, the town's people just stared at him, wondering what had him so frightened. Gasping for air Joseph finally spoke of what he just saw.

"As I was riding my bike down the road, and as I passed the Slytherin's place I seen that they were out in the front yard standing around a big kettle that was being heated by a small fire. As I strolled on passed I seen that they were putting something into the kettle. I blinked to get a clear image and they were putting small bottles full of some sort of liquid into the kettle. With every bottle they put in, the kettle would burst out a flame and a puff of smoke, as they were saying what sounded like a spell. Then they looked at me and each of them had an evil look on their faces."

After taking a deep breath Joseph finally shouted,'

"They're witches!"

The town's people gasped. Could it be true what they just heard? They all decided to grab their torches and pitch forks and march to the Slytherin's house. When they arrived there the family stood, just like Joseph said they were. The entire town's people tied the Slytherin's up with a rope, waiting to hang such horrible people. Before the rope was released to hang them, the Slytherin's cursed whoever came onto their property, then they were hung. Nothing was ever the same after that.

January

Outside is cold, so cold,
Coats are always required.
Inside warm, under blankets,
curled up close to the fire.

The snow falls thick,
light as a feather.
Finally! no school due
to inclemate weather.

The air is crisp,
the ground is hard.
I gain a year and
yet another birthday card.
